Photo of The Week

Photo of The Week photos can be on any topic and can be taken with any camera. If it’s a favorite of yours, we want to see it. Family photos, cat photos, a favorite from your recent trip — send it our way! Photo of The Week pictures will be selected before the Friday of each week and all submissions from that week will be cleared out and submitters notified. Our open and start dates reflect that this category is always free to enter and always open, so send us your work! We look forward to sharing the best images from our viewership.

Note: if you aren’t notified by the SUNDAY of the week you submitted, your picture was not selected. For this category, only winners will be notified.

Guidelines

  • Submissions are open year-round
  • Chosen photos receive $50 and placement in our Photo of The Week gallery
  • At least one photo will be selected each week
  • The staff may choose as many winners as they like
  • Runners up will receive $30 and placement online
  • You must be 18 years of age to submit
  • Send us your smartphone photos! You may submit any photo you like, but we particularly welcome smartphone photos in this category
  • Previously unpublished photos only
  • Simultaneous and multiple submissions allowed (you may submit this photo elsewhere while it is under consideration with us)
  • jpeg and png formats only
  • Only winners will be notified. If you have not heard about your story by Sunday of the week you have submitted, your picture wasn’t selected.
  • International submissions allowed

Photo Rights: We purchase rights to post your picture in our photo gallery online and on social media. We do not sell, distribute, or share your work with any third parties and the work remains yours to use as you wish. Full terms and conditions at the bottom of the page.
